Boasting at least 280 horsepower from a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the 2015 Honda Civic Type R wants the claim of being the fastest front-wheel drive car at the Nurburgring.
So what better way to prove that Honda is well on its way of staking that claim than by sharing a video of the Japanese automaker testing its 2015 Civic Type R at the Nurburgring itself.

According to Honda, the production car is still two years away, which gives the automaker plenty of time to fine tune the sports car to something worthy of the Type R moniker. Honda recently spent a week at the Nurburgring, conducting extensive testing and claims that it’s already set a time “approaching the lap record.”
